Job summary

Summer Consultants, Inc. is seeking Electrical Engineering Interns for Summer 2027 to explore building systems in real projects. You will assist with surveys, calculations, equipment selection, layouts, and drawings on renovation and existing-buildings.

Learn from experienced engineers, use Revit and AutoCAD, and gain hands-on experience in lighting and power design within a small, active team. Field work is a key component of the internship.

Qualifications

• Two years completed toward a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Architectural Engineering (Electrical/Lighting focus).
• Genuine interest in power, lighting, electrical distribution, and building systems.
• Willingness to spend meaningful time in the field surveying existing conditions.

Responsibilities

• Support electrical design work on renovation and existing-building projects.
• Participate in field surveys to observe and document conditions and electrical systems.
• Assist with lighting and power design, electrical calculations, and system layouts.
• Help translate survey data into project drawings and documentation.
• Use Revit and AutoCAD to support project work and coordinate with teams.
• Ask questions, apply feedback, and take on increasing responsibility.
