Job summary

Arup is offering an Electrical Engineering Intern (Summer 2027) in San Francisco. The role focuses on power distribution, lighting design, and electrical calculations within building and infrastructure projects.

You will collaborate with diverse teams, gain hands-on experience in Revit MEP, AGI, and SKM, and contribute to technical reports and presentations. The internship requires pursuing a BSEE or related degree, interest in sustainability, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Demonstrated interest in electrical engineering with a focus on power in buildings and infrastructure.
• Strong planning and organizing abilities and written communication.
• Independent initiative with creative problem-solving and teamwork.
• Prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment and meet deadlines.
• Experience with Revit MEP, AGI 32 and SKM Power Tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design power distribution, lighting, grounding for buildings and infrastructure.
• Perform short circuit, coordination, load and arc flash studies.
• Conduct lighting photometric calculations using AGI.
• Assign circuitry for Power and Lighting devices.
• Write technical reports and develop electrical calculations.
• Collaborate with disciplines and vendors; attend meetings to learn.
