Job summary

Arup is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in Dallas. You will work on power distribution, lighting, and control systems for building and infrastructure projects, performing studies and photometric calculations, and contributing to reports and electrical analyses.

You will engage with multiple disciplines, learn from professionals, and develop practical skills in Revit MEP, AGI 32, and SKM power tools while pursuing a degree in electrical engineering.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Interest in electrical power systems for buildings and infrastructure.
• Strong planning, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• EIT/ FE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design power distribution, lighting and lighting controls for buildings and infrastructure projects.
• Perform short circuit, overload coordination, load and arc flash studies.
• Lighting photometric calculations using AGI.
• Assign circuitry for Power and Lighting devices.
• Prepare technical reports and calculations.
• Use Revit MEP and SKM on projects and collaborate with others.
