Job summary

S&B is seeking an Electrical Engineer Intern to perform routine assignments under close supervision, applying standard design techniques and criteria. The role offers a structured internship with exposure to EPC project environments and field data collection across power and process industries.

The position requires enrollment in a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, with at least two years of undergraduate work completed and the ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Two years of undergraduate study completed; working knowledge of software packages and automated design equipment.
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Prepares basic design sketches and performs calculations for equipment, components, structures, or systems.
• Conducts field trips to gather operating data and equipment information.
• Gathers data to help prepare equipment specifications and requisitions for approval.
• Evaluates vendor bids and drawings for compliance with specifications for simple equipment.
• Participates in preparation of equipment lists and load summaries.
• Participates in preparation of design guides, guide specifications and contract proposals.
• Participates in plant start-ups and field assignments as required.
