Job summary

S&B is seeking an Electrical Engineer Intern to perform routine assignments under close supervision and apply standard design techniques, procedures and criteria. The role involves collaboration in a multi-disciplinary team on an EPC project with a focus on electrical systems.

The internship requires pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, with two years of undergraduate study completed, and the ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepares basic design sketches and performs calculations in support of broader design activities involving the design of equipment, components, structures, or systems.
• Conducts field trips to existing plants to gather operating data and equipment information.
• Gathers data to help prepare equipment specifications, inquiry and purchase requisitions for approval.
• Evaluates vendors' bids and drawings to assure compliance with specifications for simple equipment.
• Participates in the preparation of equipment lists and load summaries.
• Participates in preparation of design guides, guide specifications and contract proposals.
• Participates in plant start-ups and field assignments as required.
