Job summary

S&B is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern in Baton Rouge, LA. Under close supervision, you will perform routine assignments that follow standard design techniques and criteria, contributing to EPC projects across Oil & Gas, Chemicals, and Energy sectors.

Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field, with at least two years of undergrad completed, and have the ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Completion of at least two years of undergraduate studies in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Working knowledge of software packages and automated engineering/design equipment.
• Previous internship experience is preferred but not required.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Prepare basic design sketches and calculations for equipment, components, structures, or systems.
• Conduct field trips to gather operating data and equipment information.
• Gather data to prepare equipment specifications, inquiries, and purchase requisitions.
• Evaluate vendor bids and drawings for compliance with specifications for simple equipment.
• Assist in preparing equipment lists and load summaries.
• Contribute to design guides, specifications and contract proposals.
• Participate in plant start-ups and field assignments as required.
