Job summary

S&B is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Intern who, under close supervision, performs routine design tasks using standard techniques. The role provides exposure to equipment, components, structures, or systems in a real EPC environment.

Currently enrolled in a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering, you will work with a multi-disciplinary team, participate in field visits to operating plants, and gain hands-on experience in equipment specifications, vendor interactions, and project start-up activities.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in an accredited college/university pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Must have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies.
• Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Prepares basic design sketches and calculations.
• Conducts field trips to existing plants for data.
• Gathers data to help prepare equipment specifications.
• Evaluates vendor bids to ensure compliance with specs.
• Assists in preparing equipment lists and piping line lists.
• Contributes to design guides and contract proposals.
• Participates in plant start-ups.
