Job summary

Nexus Engineering Group is seeking an Electrical Engineer Co-op/Intern to work with a team of engineers on design projects in Cleveland, OH. You will prepare drawings, calculations, and deliverables while interfacing with other disciplines for cohesive packages.

Responsibilities include performing calculations, developing diagrams, and supporting power system studies, with mentorship from senior engineers. This internship offers hands-on experience in a consulting environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing B.S. in Electrical Engineering from a four-year college or university.
• Strong communication skills to convey ideas clearly.
• Ability to work in diverse teams with Nexus and clients.
• Proficient with MS Excel and Word; drafting software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform calculations of limited complexity with supervision; may include lighting distribution, conduit fills, voltage drop, feeder sizing.
• Develop and maintain Electrical Single Line Diagrams, Schematics, and Lighting Power Plans.
• Support Power System Study modeling (short circuit, load flow, protection, arc flash).
• Assist experienced Electrical Engineers with project tasks.
