Job summary

Nexus Engineering Group is seeking an Electrical Engineer Co-op or Intern to work with our electrical engineers on drawings, calculations, and client design deliverables.

You will interface with multi-disciplinary teams to provide cohesive engineering packages, develop diagrams and schedules, and support power system study modeling.

Current BS in Electrical Engineering; strong communication and teamwork; proficiency with MS Excel/Word; familiarity with AutoCAD or other drafting tools preferred.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
• Effective communication to convey ideas.
• Ability to work in diverse teams.
• Familiarity with drafting software preferred.
• Exposure to power system modeling software is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare drawings, calculations, and other deliverables for client projects.
• Interface with multi-discipline teams to provide cohesive engineering packages.
• Complete calculations of limited complexity with supervision as needed.
• Develop and maintain Electrical Single Line Diagrams, Schematic/Interconnection Diagrams, and related plans.
• Support development of Power System Study models (short circuit, load flow, coordination, arc flash).
• Assist experienced Electrical Engineers with their activities as requested.
• Expand capabilities with drafting software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, Plant 3D, Revit, Inventor, Navisworks, or others.
