Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Minneapolis seeks an Engineering Intern to support standard engineering design tasks, update designs, and assist lead engineers on diverse projects across aviation, transmission, and distribution markets. Responsibilities include filing, data entry, preparing PowerPoint presentations, collecting data for continuous improvement, and researching solutions to project concerns.

Candidates should be enrolled in Electrical Engineering or related field, ABET preferred, with minimum

Qualifications

• Pursuit of bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Currently enrolled, and in good standing, in a post-secondary education related to the work.
• Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
• Actively involved in campus or community activities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Self-motivated and eager to grow in the field.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and PowerPoint presentations.
• Assist with responses to general questions.
• Participate in continuous improvement by collecting and analyzing data.
• Present solutions to concerns.
• Research solutions to project concerns and recommend solutions.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
