Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Minneapolis/St Paul is seeking an Engineering Intern to apply standard engineering techniques, assist lead engineers, and support project duties across Aviation & Federal, Environmental Services, and Transmission & Distribution markets.

The role emphasizes data collection, documentation, presentations, and ad hoc projects. A minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred; ABET accreditation helpful; eligible to work in the U.S. and campus involvement encouraged.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Prior internship or related consulting experience preferred.
• Active campus/community involvement.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Demonstrated leadership and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry and PowerPoint presentations.
• Support lead engineers on project duties and documentation.
• Analyze data and present solutions to project concerns.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts.
• Research solutions to project concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
