Job summary

Reworld Waste is seeking a Director of Electrical Engineering to lead the Electrical Design Engineering team across North America, supporting Energy-from-Waste facilities. You will oversee high-, medium-, and low-voltage systems, drive capital projects, and guide design standards and FEL processes.

The role emphasizes leadership of SMEs, collaboration with Plant Support, Sourcing, PMO, and Operations, and strategic input on major expansions and feasibility studies. Travel ~30% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 15–20 years in electrical engineering with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
• Experience in MV/HV systems, switchgear, transformers, and electrical design lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead Electrical Design Engineering team for Energy-from-Waste facilities across North America.
• Manage capital projects and technical programs; develop and maintain electrical design standards.
• Coach SMEs, mentor talent, and drive FEL processes for capital projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to meet discipline needs and deliver projects on time.
