Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Fort Myers office is seeking an Electrical Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join the Water/Wastewater and Utilities team. This on-site role involves contributing to the design of water transmission, pumping stations, and treatment facilities while coordinating with a multidisciplinary team.

You will manage project tasks, ensure quality plans, and engage in client interactions with mentorship opportunities. A P.E. license or the ability to obtain within 12 months is preferred.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of electrical engineering design experience.
• P.E. license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Municipal water/wastewater project experience including pump stations and treatment facilities.
• Experience designing electrical/instrumentation & controls for water facilities.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist design of water transmission and distribution systems, pumping stations, and treatment facilities.
• Work on municipal water and wastewater designs within a project portfolio.
• Manage project tasks, permitting, construction coordination, and team alignment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver assigned projects.
• Produce high-quality plan sets and review colleagues' work for accuracy.
