Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Sarasota, FL office seeks an Electrical Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join the Water/Wastewater and Utilities team. This is not a remote position and involves design of water transmission, pumping stations, and treatment facilities.

The candidate should have a PE license or eligibility within 12 months, experience with electrical/instrumentation & controls, and AutoCAD proficiency to manage multiple projects and collaborate across disciplines.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of electrical engineering design experience.
• Professional Engineering (P.E.) license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Municipal engineering experience including pump stations, pipelines, water/wastewater facilities.
• Experience designing electrical/instrumentation & controls for pump stations and treatment plants.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design of water transmission and distribution systems and water treatment facilities.
• Contribute to design of municipal water and wastewater utilities projects.
• Manage project tasks, design work, permitting, and construction coordination.
• Coordinate work with multidisciplinary team and check peers' work for quality.
• Monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules; support client interactions.
