Job summary

Kimley-Horn seeks an Electrical Engineer to lead electrical, instrumentation and SCADA design for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. The candidate will have 5+ years in the water/wastewater industry and work with a team of engineers and external clients.

The role includes project management responsibilities, scope and budget planning, and active participation in sales support, proposals, and scope discussions. Leadership and coordination across disciplines are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years as Electrical Engineer in water/wastewater sectors.
• Experience leading multi-discipline project teams.
• Expert knowledge of low voltage power distribution and industrial controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead Electrical and I&C design for water/wastewater projects.
• Serve as project task manager or lead discipline engineer on projects.
• Scope and budget projects and plan execution.
• Ensure on-time, on-budget electrical designs using company systems.
• Support business opportunities and assist in sales/marketing efforts.
• Mentor other electrical and I&C engineers and designers.
• Perform construction shop drawing reviews and RFIs; coordinate power systems.
• Produce accurate written documents, reports, and memoranda.
