Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Tampa, Florida office is seeking an Electrical Engineer with 4+ years of design experience to join the Water/Wastewater and Utilities team. This is not a remote position.

You will design electrical/instrumentation & controls for pump stations and treatment facilities, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and help manage project tasks, budgets, and schedules while mentoring junior staff. A PE license or ability to obtain within 12 months is preferred, and proficiency with

Qualifications

• 4+ years of electrical engineering design experience.
• P.E. license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Municipal engineering experience including pump stations, pipelines, water/wastewater facilities.
• Experience with electrical/instrumentation & controls for pump stations and treatment plants.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design of water transmission and distribution systems, pumping stations, and water/wastewater treatment facilities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Manage project tasks, design work, permitting, and client coordination.
• Monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules; ensure quality in plan sets.
