Job summary

Exelon is seeking a General Engineer in Maryland focused on managing transmission and substation assets using Cascade and Asset Suite 8. The role emphasizes lifecycle cost management, maintenance effectiveness reviews, reliability analysis, and data-driven asset performance insights.

You will develop engineering solutions, manage technical deliverables, and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards while collaborating with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or PE license.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of engineering designs, principles and practices.
• Knowledge of complex field test equipment.
• 4–7 years of professional engineering experience.
• Understanding regulations, guides, standards, codes and methods.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) or 50% complete advanced technical degree.
• Master's degree or PE license reduces OJT experience by 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Performs engineering assignments of moderate complexity, leveraging data analysis to present recommendations.
• Leads small projects or tasks with cross-functional coordination.
• Provides technical support for design, installation, and maintenance activities.
• Participates in evaluating and improving technical systems and processes.
