Job summary

Exelon, a leading energy company serving Maryland and beyond, seeks a General Engineer to manage transmission and substation assets using Cascade and Asset Suite 8. You will drive lifecycle cost management, reliability analysis, and data-driven improvements across multiple teams.

Candidates should have a BS in Engineering, PE/EIT options, and 4–7 years of professional experience. The role includes storm coverage and a comprehensive benefits package in a dynamic utility environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or licensed Professional Engineer
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical and mechanical systems
• Knowledge of engineering designs, principles and practices
• Knowledge of complex field test equipment
• 4-7 years of professional engineering experience
• Broad knowledge and experience with regulations, guides, standards, codes methods, practices, and advanced engineering principles
• Master's degree or PE/license reduces required OJT experience
• Engineer in Training (EIT) or advanced technical degree options may reduce requirements

Responsibilities

• Performs engineering assignments of moderate complexity with independent judgment (collect data, interpret results, present recommendations)
• Leads small engineering projects or tasks coordinating with cross-functional teams
• Provides technical support in design, installation, and maintenance of systems and equipment
• Participates in evaluation and improvement of technical systems and processes and may assign work
