Job summary
Exelon Corporation is seeking a General Engineer to lead and support engineering efforts across its utility infrastructure, including electric and gas operations, transmission, substations, and related systems.
The role requires broad utility knowledge, strong problem solving, and the ability to manage technical deliverables, budgets, and stakeholder coordination. Occasional extended hours may be required during storms or energy delivery emergencies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Licensed Professional Engineer.
- Experience analyzing complex electrical and mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of engineering designs, principles and practices.
- Knowledge of complex field test equipment.
- 4-7 years of professional engineering experience.
- Licensing or certification requirements may apply in the practicing state.
Responsibilities
- Perform engineering assignments of moderate complexity with independent judgment.
- Lead small engineering projects coordinating with cross-functional teams.
- Provide technical support in design, installation, and maintenance of systems and equipment.
- Participate in evaluation and improvement of technical systems and processes.
