Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer – SME to lead electrical infrastructure for hyperscale and mission-critical facilities. You will shape electrical strategy from utility interconnection through the IT load, providing technical direction and mentorship across global teams.

The role requires a PE license, 15–20+ years of experience, and expert knowledge of MV/LV distribution, power systems, and standards. Hybrid work and travel up to 25% are expected.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
• PE license required, active in at least one U.S. jurisdiction; NCEES record preferred.
• 15–20+ years of professional electrical engineering experience, data centers or high-reliability facilities.
• Advanced expertise in MV/LV distribution, switchgear, transformers, generator plants and paralleling.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior technical authority for electrical infrastructure from utility interconnection to IT load.
• Provide leadership for MV/LV distribution, substations, switchgear, UPS systems and related gear.
• Lead or review power studies (short-circuit, load-flow, arc-flash) and arrange design reviews.
• Guide project delivery from planning through commissioning and turnover.
• Mentor engineers and support client workshops, reviews, and proposals.
