Job summary

WSP invites an ESSP Electrical Engineer – Experience Professional to join our Fort Worth, TX office. You will contribute to Protective Relaying, planning studies, and substation design within the ESSP team, supporting projects across multiple sites including Houston, Overland Park, and St. Louis.

You will engage in technical reporting, modeling, and field verification, traveling as required to project sites to ensure successful implementation and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• BS EE/ABET-accredited degree required.
• 3–5 years of design or device configuration experience.
• EIT certification preferred or required.
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and permitting.
• Ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform protective relaying and coordination studies.
• Conduct power system planning studies and analyze voltage stability.
• Develop designs for substations, grounding, and insulation coordination.
• Configure networks and communications for RTUs and SCADA.
• Prepare technical reports and supporting calculations.
