Job summary

WSP is seeking an ESSP Electrical Engineer – Experienced Professional for our Fort Worth, TX office. Candidates in Houston, TX; Overland Park, KS and St Louis, MO will also be considered. Be involved in the ESSP team and perform electrical studies, SCADA and protection work.

Roles may range from broad to specialized, with travel to project sites as required and a focus on three-phase power fundamentals. This position offers growth within a global engineering practice.

Qualifications

• BSEE (ABET-accredited) or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of design or device configuration experience in electrical engineering.
• EIT certification.
• Knowledge of electrical engineering principles and project permitting.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities for diverse audiences.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical studies, SCADA, and protection work.
• Support protective relaying, planning studies, and design analyses.
• Prepare technical reports with clear findings and conclusions.
• Coordinate with project managers and field staff; assist in risk assessment.
• Travel to project sites as needed and adhere to safety policies.
