Job summary

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or architectural engineering, sophomore or junior year.
• Strong interest in Building Systems Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Availability to work full time onsite in Columbus office during the co-op term.
• Ability to travel locally for job site inspections and field work.

Responsibilities

• Learn and implement electrical system basics including power, distribution, lighting and fire alarm systems for new construction and renovation projects.
• Produce detailed layouts and equipment details of electrical building systems.
• Create one-line diagrams and schematics.
• Assist the design team in assembling organized sets of drawings.
• Support data collection and field verification as needed.
• Collaborate with designers and engineers to develop all aspects of projects.
