Job summary

CMTA, a Legence Company, in Columbus, OH, offers a hands-on co-op in electrical design for engineering students. You'll learn power distribution, lighting and control systems, and assist in creating drawings with AutoCAD and Revit under professional engineers.

Qualifications

Pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or architectural engineering, preferably a sophomore or junior.
Strong interest in Building Systems Electrical Engineering.
AutoCAD and REVIT experience preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to work full time in the Columbus office during the co-op term.
Willingness to travel locally for site inspections.

Responsibilities

Learn and implement electrical system basics such as power distribution and lighting control.
Produce detailed layouts and equipment details of electrical systems.
Create one-line diagrams/schematics.
Assist in assembling organized drawing sets with the design team.
May assist in data collection and field verification.
Collaborate with designers and engineers to develop project aspects.
