Job summary

CMTA, a Legence Company, is offering a hands-on electrical design co-op for engineering students. You will work onsite in our Columbus office, learning how we design and implement electrical systems for high‑performance buildings and energy‑efficient projects.

The ideal candidate is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in electrical or architectural engineering, with interest in building systems, and familiarity with AutoCAD or REVIT.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical or architectural engineering, preferably a sophomore or junior.
• Strong interest in Building Systems Electrical Engineering.
• AutoCAD and REVIT experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply electrical system basics including power distribution and lighting.
• Create detailed layouts and equipment diagrams for building systems.
• Develop one-line diagrams and schematics for projects.
• Support assembling organized drawing sets and assist with data collection.
