Job summary

Kiewit is seeking Electrical Engineers to design and deliver electrical systems for large industrial facilities, including water treatment, data centers, and energy infrastructure. You will work on EPC and Design Build projects, applying ETAP and SmartPlant tools while mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with construction partners.

With 5+ years of experience, you will transition from design to execution, helping teams meet safety, quality, and project milestones.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of electrical design experience for industrial facilities.
• Experience with ETAP simulation/analysis and SmartPlant design.
• PE license preferred or willingness to obtain within a year.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical designs including layout and schematics for EPC/Design Build projects.
• Evaluate and apply engineering techniques for medium to large industrial projects.
• Coordinate interface points with construction partners; advise on bid evaluations.
• Review electrical requirements for new facilities and project plans.
• Perform ETAP analysis, system modeling, protection coordination, grounding studies.
• Mentor junior engineers and enforce design standards across teams.
• Support RFP, FEED, DB and EPC projects across multiple markets.
