Job summary

Kiewit Power Engineering is seeking a Senior Electrical Designer to lead a design team for EPC projects in power generation. You will oversee electrical raceway design, coordinate with multiple disciplines, and ensure safe, cost‑effective, constructible outcomes throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires strong leadership, robust budgeting and scheduling skills, and proficiency with SmartPlant 3D. Location flexibility across multiple North American offices is available."

Qualifications

• At least 8 years’ experience in electrical design.
• Experience leading electrical design teams.
• Experience managing budget and schedule.
• Experience in SmartPlant 3D or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of electrical designers in developing electrical raceway systems.
• Manage electrical design activities against project schedule and budget.
• Track and report design progression to project management and team members.
• Complete monthly reports for quantities, schedule and forecasting.
• Interface with construction to ensure design is safe, constructible, and low cost.
• Coordinate with other disciplines, engineers and construction on the design.
