Job summary

Kiewit is seeking Senior/Principal Electrical Engineers to lead electrical design for large industrial facilities. The role requires a PE and US Citizenship, with opportunities to work in-office or remotely on contract placements.

You will mentor teams, coordinate with construction partners, and contribute to FEED/D/B/EPC efforts. Base compensation is competitive with strong benefits including health plans, retirement matching, and generous PTO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited four-year college or university.
• PE license required or able to get PE within 12 months.
• 8+ years of experience performing Electrical engineering design for Industrial facilities.
• Experience with ETAP simulation/analysis and with SmartPlant or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and lead electrical engineering designs for EPC and Design Build projects for large industrial facilities.
• Evaluate, select, and apply engineering techniques for medium to large industrial projects.
• Prepare interface points with construction partners and coordinate bid evaluations for award.
• Review electrical requirements for new facilities and project plans.
• Perform ETAP analysis, system modeling, protection coordination, and grounding studies.
• Utilize SmartPlant for balance of plant electrical systems design.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and ensure design standards.
• Work independently on small projects or as part of a larger multi-discipline team.
• Support RFP, Pre-Feed, FEED, D/B and EPC electrical designs across markets.
