Job summary

Kiewit is seeking Senior/Principal Electrical Engineers to design and lead electrical systems for large industrial projects. You will collaborate with construction teams, guide junior engineers, and ensure designs meet EPC/D/B workflows. PE and US citizenship are required, with opportunities across multiple offices or remote contract roles.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program; PE license required.
At least 10+ years’ experience in electrical design for industrial facilities.
Advanced experience with ETAP is required; familiarity with SmartPlant or similar software.
Experience in FEED, D/B, EPC designs and leading electrical projects; mentoring experience.
US Citizenship required due to nuclear project work.

Responsibilities

Prepare and lead electrical engineering designs for large industrial facilities (layout, schematics, calculations).
Evaluate and apply engineering techniques for medium to large projects.
Coordinate with construction partners and review bid proposals for contract awards.
Review electrical requirements for new facilities and project plans.
Perform ETAP analysis, load flow studies, protection coordination, and grounding.
Mentor junior engineers and ensure adherence to design standards.
Support RFP, FEED, D/B and EPC projects across multiple markets.
