Zusammenfassung

LiquidPiston, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer II to design, develop, fabricate and test electrical systems for next‑generation engines and power systems.

You will work hands‑on with analog/digital circuits, PCB layouts, and prototypes, collaborating across disciplines in a fast‑paced R&D setting. You’ll contribute to schematics, BOMs, test plans, and documentation, while performing hardware debugging and integration with mechanical systems.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with analog and digital circuit design and analysis.
• Proficiency in schematic generation, PCB design, BOM creation and wiring diagrams.
• Experience using PCB design software such as OrCAD or Altium Designer.
• Hands-on troubleshooting using common test equipment.
• Soldering through-hole and surface-mount components.
• Understanding of electrical controls and sensor integration.

Aufgaben

• Design and analyze analog and digital circuits for electrical systems.
• Develop schematics, BOMs, PCB layouts, wiring diagrams, and docs.
• Design PCBs using OrCAD or Altium Designer.
• Troubleshoot and debug with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.
• Assemble, modify, and repair hardware including prototype fabrication.
• Support soldering and PCB rework (SMT and TH).
• Integrate servos, sensors, thermocouples with control systems.
• Collaborate with mechanical, controls, and test engineers.
• Document results and communicate findings to the team.
• Lead assigned projects while supporting fabrication and testing.
