LiquidPiston, a fast-paced R&D team, seeks an Electrical Engineer II to own end-to-end hardware development. You will design analog/digital circuits, create schematics and PCB layouts, and build prototypes. You’ll troubleshoot with lab equipment, solder components, and integrate electronics into engine test setups.

You will collaborate with mechanical, controls, and test engineers to resolve complex challenges and drive hardware improvements from concept through testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience designing and troubleshooting analog and digital circuits.
• Hands-on PCB design experience using Altium Designer, OrCAD, or similar tools; ability to generate schematics, layouts, BOMs and wiring diagrams.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills and experience with lab equipment.
• Experience soldering through-hole and surface-mount components, including PCB modifications and rework.

Responsabilités

• Design and analyze analog and digital circuits for engine and power systems.
• Develop electrical schematics, PCB layouts, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and documentation.
• Design and develop PCBs using Altium Designer, OrCAD, or similar tools.
• Troubleshoot and debug using laboratory equipment and test benches.
• Assemble, modify, and repair electronic hardware including soldering and prototyping.
• Integrate electrical components into mechanical assemblies and test equipment.
• Support prototype testing, analyze data, and implement design improvements.
• Collaborate with mechanical, controls, and test engineers to solve challenges.
