Lake Superior Consulting is seeking an Electrical Engineer II/III to join our growing engineering team. Location options include Traverse City, MI, with remote consideration. You will work on diverse energy and industrial projects from concept through commissioning, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Engineer II requires 1–3+ years; Engineer III requires 3+ years and potential for greater technical leadership. Opportunity to travel up to 10% and grow within a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a similar discipline.
• Engineer II: 1–3+ years of related engineering experience.
• Engineer III: 3+ years of related engineering experience.
• EIT license preferred; PE license a plus for Engineer III.
• Experience with power, control, and communications systems preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% with potential field engineering support.

Responsibilities

• Perform CAD design and drafting to assist engineers in electrical and control systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design large industrial systems.
• Lead moderate to large-sized projects and provide technical direction.
• Develop specifications for procurement, installation, and testing of electrical equipment.
• Apply engineering software for ground grid design, relay coordination, and electrical studies.
• Participate in field wiring and testing with design and commissioning teams.
• Communicate project activities with clients and stakeholders.
• Manage changes in project scope and identify potential risks.
