Job summary

Lake Superior Consulting is seeking an Electrical Engineer II/III to join our growing team in a role spanning concept to commissioning.

The position offers exposure to diverse energy and industrial projects, including oil & gas, renewables, and utilities, with locations nationwide and remote options. A starting salary in the listed range reflects experience and location, with strong benefits and a path to leadership for Engineer III.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar.
• Engineer II: 1–3+ years of related engineering experience.
• Engineer III: 3+ years of related engineering experience.
• EIT license preferred.
• PE license a plus, especially for Engineer III.
• Practical experience in power, control and communications systems preferred.
• NEC knowledge.
• NFPA 70E knowledge.
• Field experience supporting construction is a plus.
• I&C design experience incl. SCADA, PLC, controls.
• Broad electrical engineering background; experience with control systems is preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Perform CAD design and drafting for electrical and control systems.
• Lead moderate to large projects and provide direction on technical issues.
• Develop specifications for procurement, installation and testing of electrical equipment.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Engage in field wiring and testing with design and commissioning teams.
• Prepare survey and design reports and final project reports.
• Communicate project activities with project lead and clients.
