Job summary

Lake Superior Consulting seeks an Electrical Engineer II/III to join our growing team. You will work on diverse energy and industrial projects including oil and gas, power generation, utilities, renewables, and more, with opportunities from concept through commissioning.

Locations include Houston, TX and other sites; remote work is considered. Expect leadership on projects, design development, and collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams while advancing your career and skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• Engineer II: 1–3+ years of related engineering experience.
• Engineer III: 3+ years of related engineering experience.
• EIT license is preferred.
• PE license is a plus for Engineer III level.
• Practical experience in power, control and communications systems preferred.
• Knowledge of NEC and NFPA 70E is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform CAD design and drafting duties for electrical systems.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to design large industrial systems.
• Lead moderate to large projects and make technical decisions.
• Develop design documents and drawings (one- and three-line diagrams, schematics).
• Create specifications for procurement, installation and testing of electrical equipment.
• Conduct engineering calculations, studies, and field investigations.
