Job summary

Lake Superior Consulting is seeking an Electrical Engineer II or III to join our growing team in Duluth, MN and other locations. The role involves design, analysis, and project leadership across energy and industrial projects, with opportunities from concept through commissioning.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams, gain exposure to oil/gas, power generation, renewables, and utilities, and have the chance to advance to greater technical leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a similar engineering discipline.
• Engineer II typically 1–3+ years of related engineering experience.
• Engineer III typically 3+ years of related engineering experience.
• EIT license is preferred.
• PE license a plus, particularly for Engineer III.
• Experience with power, control, and communications systems preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% with possible field engineering support.

Responsibilities

• Perform CAD design and drafting to assist with electrical and control systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to complete large industrial system designs.
• Lead moderate to large projects and make technical decisions as warranted.
• Develop design documents and drawings including diagrams and schematics.
• Prepare specifications for procurement, installation, and testing of electrical equipment.
• Perform engineering calculations, studies, and field investigations.
