Job summary

Lake Superior Consulting is seeking an Electrical Engineer II/III to join our growing team. The role involves CAD design, project leadership, and collaboration on diverse energy and industrial projects across multiple locations, with remote consideration.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s in electrical engineering, 1–3+ years (II) or 3+ years (III) of related engineering experience, and knowledge of NEC/NFPA 70E. Travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a similar engineering discipline is required.
• Engineer II: typically 1–3+ years of related engineering experience.
• Engineer III: typically 3+ years of related engineering experience.
• EIT license is preferred; PE license a plus for Engineer III.
• Experience with power, control, and communications systems is preferred.
• Knowledge of NEC and NFPA 70E is beneficial.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% with potential field engineering support.

Responsibilities

• Perform CAD design and drafting duties to assist engineers in electrical and control system design.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to complete design of large and complex industrial systems.
• Lead moderate to large-sized projects and make technical decisions as appropriate.
• Prepare design documents and drawings, including various diagrams and schematics.
• Develop specifications for procurement, installation, and testing of electrical equipment.
• Perform calculations, studies, detailed design, and construction support.
• Provide design guidance to junior engineers and designers.
