Job summary

Lake Superior Consulting is seeking an Electrical Engineer II or III to join our growing engineering team in Nashville, TN. This role involves working on a diverse range of energy and industrial projects, with opportunities from design through commissioning.

Ideal candidates have 1–3+ years (II) or 3+ years (III) of related experience, exposure to power systems and control, and willingness to travel up to 10%. A remote location is considered and compensation ranges from $78,000 to $115,000.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a similar engineering discipline.
• EIT license preferred.
• PE license a plus particularly for Engineer III-level candidates.
• Practical or hands-on experience in power, control, and communications systems preferred.
• Direct experience related to power plants and substation design is a plus.
• Knowledge of the NEC and NFPA 70E.

Responsibilities

• Perform CAD design and drafting duties to assist engineers in the design of electrical and control systems.
• Lead moderate to large-sized projects and make decisions on technical or complex issues.
• Develop specifications for the procurement, installation, and testing of electrical equipment.
• Participate in field wiring and testing of electrical and controls circuits.
• Interact with clients, vendors, and contractors.
• For Engineer III, provide greater technical leadership and direction on projects.
