Job summary

ENFRA is seeking an Electrical Professional Engineer I to apply core engineering principles and design, analyze, and support electrical systems for energy and infrastructure projects on campuses. You’ll deliver code‑compliant, constructible designs including power distribution, renewables, storage, and controls integration within a collaborative team.

You’ll work with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate with facilities, support permitting, and prepare calculations, drawings, and specs that

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering; PE license required.
• 5+ years of design experience on energy infrastructure projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license essential; pref. ESCO/EaaS exposure.

Responsibilities

• Signing and sealing engineering documents as applicable.
• Designs solar, battery storage, fuel cell, and CHP with guidance.
• Analyze electrical systems (power distribution, lighting, controls).
• Perform calculations for interconnects, arc flash, short-circuit studies.
• Prepare drawings and specifications per standards.
• Conduct site visits and data collection; support 3D laser scanning.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and support project management.
• Work under supervision; escalate complex issues to seniors.
• Develop client interaction skills in supported settings.
