Job summary

ENFRA is seeking an Electrical Professional Engineer I to design and support electrical systems for energy and infrastructure projects on university campuses. You will develop code-compliant, constructible designs including power distribution, renewable energy, storage, and controls integration.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate with existing facilities, assist permitting and procurement, and produce calculations, drawings, and specifications that meet performance

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required in engineering field related to electrical design.
Professional Engineer (PE) license is required or in process.
5+ years of design experience in electrical systems.

Responsibilities

Sign and seal engineering documents as applicable.
Design solar energy, energy storage, fuel cell, and CHP plants with senior guidance.
Analyze and design electrical systems (distribution, lighting, controls).
Prepare utility interconnect calculations, arc flash studies, short-circuit analysis.
Create calculations, drawings, and specifications per standards.
Conduct site visits and coordinate 3D laser scanning efforts as needed.
Assist in project coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
Apply engineering techniques within defined assignments.
Work under general supervision and escalate complex issues to seniors.
Develop client interaction skills in supported settings.
