Job summary

ENFRA is seeking an Electrical Professional Engineer I to design, analyze, and support electrical systems across hospital and college campuses. You’ll develop constructible, code‑compliant designs for power distribution, renewables, storage, and controls within ENFRA’s design‑build model.

You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, perform site visits, and contribute to documents and specifications for reliable, energy‑efficient projects. Domestic travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering, electrical engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of design experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License.
• Preferred: Experience in energy infrastructure, ESCO, or EaaS projects.

Responsibilities

• Signing and sealing engineering documents, as applicable.
• Designs solar energy, battery energy storage, fuel cell, and CHP plants with guidance from senior engineers.
• Performs analysis and design of electrical systems (power distribution, low/medium voltage, lighting, controls).
• Performs basic calculations for utility interconnects, arc flash, and short‑circuit and breaker coordination studies.
• Prepares calculations, drawings, and specifications under established standards.
• Conducts site visits, field assessments, and data collection; coordinates 3D laser scanning efforts.
• Assists in project coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
• Applies engineering techniques within defined assignments.
• Performs work under general supervision; escalates complex issues to seniors.
• Begins developing client interaction skills in supported settings.
