Job summary

ENFRA is seeking an Electrical Professional Engineer II to lead the design and coordination of electrical systems for energy and infrastructure projects (healthcare and campuses). Develops code‑compliant, constructible designs including power distribution, renewable energy, storage, and controls integration while solving complex technical challenges.

Leads project portions, coordinates across disciplines, and aligns with active facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering, electrical engineering, or related field
• 7+ years of design experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) License
• Advanced knowledge of electrical power and building systems
• Experience with system coordination, protection, and controls integration
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary designs

Responsibilities

• Signing and sealing engineering documents
• Leads designs solar energy, battery energy storage, fuel cell, and CHP plants with guidance from senior engineers
• Develops detailed deliverables including one-lines, load calculations, and specifications
• Performs calculations for utility interconnects, arc flash, and short‑circuit and breaker coordination studies
• Supports system upgrades, retrofits, and new installations
• Conducts field investigations and supports site visits; coordinates and plans 3D laser scanning
• Coordinates across disciplines including mechanical, controls, and construction teams
• Performs work with a high degree of autonomy
• May act as task lead or discipline lead on projects
• Independently resolves complex technical problems
• Provides informal mentorship to junior engineers and designers
• Interfaces directly with clients on technical matters
