Job summary

Redwood Materials is seeking an Electrical Engineer, Energy Storage to design and develop the system controller hardware that powers our high-power energy storage products. This on-site role will be based at 100 Hooper or LH 2, collaborating with Mechanical, Firmware, Systems, and Compliance teams to turn concepts into production.

The ideal candidate will own LV architecture, perform lab validation, and navigate trade-offs for reliability and safety.

Qualifications

: BS or MS in Electrical Engineering with embedded systems, controls, or power electronics.

Responsibilities

Own LV electrical system architecture for power electronics products, including LV RCBA coordinating modules.
Design and integrate system controller hardware, including MCU selection, communication protocols, and control logic for module synchronization.
Design isolated sensing circuits (current, voltage, temperature) and auxiliary power supply architecture (~100W).
Design and coordinate protective circuits (breaker/contactor drivers, interlock/E-stop) and HV safety at system level.
Define LV wiring, grounding, and interconnect strategy across products.
Lead electrical testing and validation for system controller PCBA and power electronics.
