Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering with a focus on power electronics.
• 5-7 years of experience in electrical engineering, focused on power conversion or energy storage.
• Hands-on high-voltage hardware design experience (up to 1.5kVdc / 800Vac).
• Experience with power semiconductor selection, gate drive design, and protection circuits.
• Strong knowledge of power electronics topologies and CAD tools; lab validation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design high-voltage (800V–25kVdc) and high-power (10kW–500kW) converters for BESS and infrastructure.
• Perform topology trade-off analyses for efficiency, density, cost, and manufacturability.
• Size power-stage components and select MOSFETs with thermal considerations.
• Design gate drivers and driver supplies for safe high-frequency switching.
• Lead design of custom magnetics, transformers, and inductors.
• Architect low-voltage subsystems, sensing, and protection circuitry.
• Design EMI filters, PCB/PCBA layout with SI considerations.
• Collaborate with Mechanical, Controls, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to meet specs.
