Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of analog and digital circuit design.
• Understanding of oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, and multimeters.
• Familiarity with product development processes and engineering best practices.
• Ability to analyze problems, evaluate options, and implement practical solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication for cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• On-site 2-3 days a week at Itron’s Liberty Lake, WA headquarters.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, development, integration, and validation of electronic hardware and embedded systems for Itron's networked solutions and product portfolio.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, software, systems, manufacturing, quality, and product management teams to deliver customer-centric technology solutions.
• Assist in schematic capture, component selection, circuit analysis, PCB design reviews, and prototype evaluation.
• Perform laboratory testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and root-cause analysis of electrical and electronic systems.
• Participate in product verification, reliability testing, regulatory compliance activities, and design validation efforts.
• Analyze test results and communicate findings, recommendations, and technical documentation clearly and effectively.
• Support product lifecycle activities, including sustaining engineering, design improvements, and manufacturing support.
• Contribute to innovation initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve product performance, quality, reliability, and cost.
