Job summary

Itron is seeking a Firmware Engineer to join our international team, based at Liberty Lake, WA or Waseca, MN. You will engage across the full development lifecycle for a broad range of solutions from residential to industrial, with hands-on lab debugging and regular customer-facing releases.

You will work with C/C++ and develop unit tests, while aligning with standards such as ISO/IEEE and FCC/UL. A 20+ year product lifecycle requires robust, maintainable firmware and strong debugging skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop firmware and unit tests in C/C++.
• Assist in design, documentation, development, debugging, validation and maintenance of firmware.
• Operate in a rigorous development environment with regular, internal integration and external customer-facing system releases.
• Support products after deployment across a 20+-year lifetime, including programming, upgrades and end-of-life support.
