Job summary

Itron, Inc. is seeking a Firmware Engineer to join a hybrid team based in Liberty Lake, WA or Waseca, MN. You will participate in the full development lifecycle for a range of products from residential to industrial and communication systems.

Develop firmware in C/C++, write unit tests, and debug in a lab environment. You will ensure regulatory compliance, support field deployments, and contribute to long product lifecycles with a strong focus on quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in firmware development with C/C++.
• Knowledge of embedded systems, RTOS and testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop firmware and unit tests in C/C++.
• Debug, validate and maintain firmware across lifecycles.
• Ensure compliance with standards and regulatory frameworks.
• Support field deployments and post-release updates.
• Perform hands-on debugging in hardware lab.
