Job summary

Itron, Inc. is seeking a Firmware Engineer to join its international firmware organization at our Liberty Lake, WA or Waseca, MN site. You will participate in the full development lifecycle for a range of residential, light commercial and industrial products and communications systems.

Responsibilities include implementing firmware in C/C++, debugging in a hardware lab, and ensuring regulatory compliance while supporting products through long lifecycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop firmware and unit tests in C/C++.
• Assist in design, documentation, development, debugging and maintenance of code.
• Implement standards-compliant features within regulatory frameworks such as FCC and UL.
• Identify, analyze, document and resolve defects in firmware using standard practices.
• Support products post-deployment across their 20+-year lifetime.
• Hands-on debugging in the hardware lab.
