Job summary

Jacobs in the United States is seeking an Electrical Engineer in our Advanced Manufacturing group to work on data center and mission-critical facility design. You’ll design power distribution, UPS, grounding, lighting, and low voltage systems, and collaborate with clients to deliver construction documents.

The role is location-flexible in the U.S. and supports a hybrid work model, with interactions on site and with owners and contractors to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency while growing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.
• 3+ years' experience in engineering design of medium/low voltage distribution and campus power.
• Extensive knowledge of industrial facility design and related standards.
• Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software.
• NFPA 70 (NEC) knowledge preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and design for data center facility power distribution systems, UPS, grounding, lighting, and low voltage communications.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and interact with clients, owners, and contractors.
• Prepare design packages and construction documents, perform quality reviews.
• Support schedule/budget scope and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
