Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer in the Advanced Manufacturing group to contribute to data center and mission-critical facility design.

You will design power distribution, UPS, grounding, lighting, and low voltage systems, working with a multi-discipline team in a fast-paced environment. You will interact with clients and contractors, perform design reviews, and help manage quality, scope, and schedule while advancing your career through mentorship and development

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.
• 3+ years' experience in engineering design of medium and low voltage distribution systems, building electrical systems, and campus-style power distribution including conveyance.
• Extensive knowledge of and experience with industrial facility design.
• Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software.
• Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) is preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide design work for data center facility power distribution systems, UPS, emergency systems, grounding, lighting, and low voltage communications.
• Perform quality reviews of design packages and assist with other portions of the design process.
• Interact with client, owner, and contractors to support construction on site.
• Collaborate with multi-discipline teams to establish design requirements and produce construction documents.
• Manage quality, scope, budget and schedule within projects.
