Job summary

AppleOne seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer / Electrical Project Manager licensed in Texas to lead design and delivery on complex MEP projects in Austin or San Antonio. This direct-hire, full-time role combines hands-on engineering with project leadership and client interaction.

The ideal candidate has a Texas PE license, 6+ years of engineering experience (MS with 5+ years or BS with 8–10 years also considered), and strong AutoCAD/Revit proficiency for building systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited four-year university with 6+ years of engineering experience; 8–10 years preferred.
• Master’s degree in Engineering may be considered with at least 5 years of engineering experience; 7–9+ years preferred.
• Texas Professional Engineer license is required.
• Strong electrical design experience for building systems, MEP projects, or facility infrastructure.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and engineering design or analysis tools.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer / Electrical Project Manager with a Texas Professional Engineer license to support complex MEP projects in Austin, TX or San Antonio, TX. Key Responsibilities

• - Lead electrical engineering design, analysis, calculations, plan development, specifications, and cost estimates for a variety of MEP projects.
• - Serve as project manager on small to moderately complex projects, managing scope, schedule, budget, deliverables, and project milestones.
• - Coordinate electrical design with mechanical, plumbing, architectural, and other project disciplines to support fully integrated building systems.
• - Prepare and review construction documents for technical accuracy, code compliance, quality, constructability, and coordination.
• - Provide construction administration support, including field observations, contractor coordination, and verification of design intent.
• - Support client communication, proposal input, scoping, estimating, and business development efforts through technical expertise.

Compensation and Benefits

• - Salary range: $100,000 to $130,000 per year.
• - Job type: Direct hire, full-time.
• - Schedule: Monday through Friday, approximately eight working hours per day.
• - Work location: Austin, TX or San Antonio, TX.
• - Overtime may be required depending on project needs.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• - Manage electrical design delivery for MEP projects from planning through construction administration.
• - Lead project schedules, budgets, scope, deliverables, and technical coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
• - Develop electrical plans, specifications, calculations, cost estimates, and construction documents.
• - Serve as a primary technical contact for clients, contractors, project teams, and other engineering disciplines.
• - Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited four-year university with a minimum of 6 years of engineering experience, with 8 to 10 years desired.
• - Master’s degree in Engineering may be considered with at least 5 years of engineering experience, with 7 to 9+ years desired.
• - Professional Engineer license in Texas is required.
• - Strong electrical engineering design experience for building systems, MEP projects, or facility-related infrastructure.
• - Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and engineering design or analysis tools.
• - Working knowledge of local, state, and national electrical codes, regulatory standards, and permitting requirements.
• - Ability to review technical drawings, specifications, calculations, and project documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• - Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with leadership, clients, designers, engineers, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
• - High attention to detail, sound judgment, initiative, and the ability to solve technical challenges with limited direction.

Preferred Qualifications

• - 10+ years of electrical engineering experience in MEP design, public sector, institutional, commercial, or similar building projects.
• - Prior experience managing electrical scope, project schedules, budgets, and client communication.
• - Commissioning experience or familiarity with electrical system commissioning.
• - Experience supporting proposals, project pursuits, technical scoping, or business development activities.
• - Demonstrated ability to provide project-level technical direction to designers and engineers.
